There is absolutely nothing where Laura lives, only snow, mountains and trees. Her house is located near a cliff in the Bavarian Alps. When she inherited the property from her aunt, she didn’t think long, just left Berlin and moved to the middle of nowhere. She simply took off; just fled. She works as a nurse, but always wanted to become an actress. In her spare time, she performs with an amateur theatre group, and is presently starring in a production of A Streetcar Named Desire. She meets René for the first time at the play’s opening. René strikes her as creepy and she’s turned off by him, but she still accepts his offer free tickets for the movies. |
